Can We all Thank RFK Jr. For Moving to Get Cancer-Causing, Toxic Food Dyes Banned?

WOW... okay, just say what normal people would say. "It's good that some guy is fighting to get rid of toxic chemicals."... say it.
You mean like lead and asbestos?

Why would I say that? There's a lot more toxic shit than some dye that you would have to consume pounds of to get the same result they got in rats.

RFK Jr. is a crank who is now in charge of our health care because he kissed Trump's dick.

That should be scary to normal people.

Yes, this involves you as well Democrats.

FYI, The same branded products in Europe don't have toxic food dyes that America has because at least Europe knows they're harmful.

RFK is making moves that will begin a long-needed focus on our food culture and the toxins and horrible ingredients that are put in them. Even if you're a Trump-Musk hating, purple haired, raging woke person who is looking for Tesla's to firebomb... you have to be glad that harmful, cancer-causing food dyes are being investigated and banned.

Right?

So.., this ISN’T the nanny state?! Where’s the line?

This is a “voluntary” ban. I.e., not a ban at all.

Good! RFK Jr. is tailor-made for that job. He's going to do really good things.
😝 MAGA took the Democrats' best people!
Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr. are kick ass! 👍
The big food processors ain't gonna like it.
General Mills, Post, Kellogg's, Purina.

Wow, yes, the nuts are in charge now, and doing nutty things.

Until the next plague or terrorist attack hits, and then we will wonder how these fucknuts ever got put in charge of more than a lemonade stand.

Guess who’s gonna win that fight?

Yeah. Big business

Good riddance, the health issues with these dyes has been known for decades and yet no one found it necessary to phase this crap out. Who the hell cares that food won’t be so colorful, I don’t get why our government does help protect their people.

Common threads the FDA cited in its phase-out plan

Neurobehavioral effects in children – Multiple placebo-controlled “challenge” trials and the 2021 California OEHHA review link mixtures of Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40, and other dyes to measurable increases in hyperactivity, impulsivity, and restlessness, especially in kids already diagnosed with ADHD.

Carcinogenic signals – Red 3, Citrus Red 2, Blue 2, Green 3, and Yellow 6 all produced statistically significant tumors in at least one well-designed rodent bioassay. Under the Delaney Clause, any dye found to be carcinogenic in animals cannot legally remain in food.

Allergy & hypersensitivity – Tartrazine (Yellow 5) and, less commonly, Brilliant Blue (Blue 1) provoke hives, wheezing, or anaphylaxis in susceptible individuals; reactions often appear within minutes to hours after ingestion.

Unavoidable contaminants – Petroleum-derived dyes can contain trace amounts of carcinogenic aromatic amines (e.g., benzidine) formed during synthesis or breakdown, another driver of the policy shift.

I hope we phase out other chemicals in foods, pretty sad that you can’t pronounce half the ingredients in these overly processed foods.

How we gonna tell the red M&Ms from the yellow ones??

FWIW, in one part of my career I worked for a water and wastewater treatment company. It was a time when technology was advancing to the point where substances could be detected to a far greater extent than ever before. Let's say we were shifting from PPM (parts per million) to PPB (parts per billion). And with this development, the public was stunned to learn that, for example, some of the products we were consuming contained arsenic(!). We were all going to die.

But among the chemists who were analyzing these substances, an expression became common: Everything is safe and everything will kill you; it's all in the dosage. So one part per billion of a substance could be consumed harmlessly (sometimes beneficially), but at one part per hundred it would kill you.

And that's how II think of it when I read these perennial stories about getting "poisons" out of the food chain. Somewhere in the process, there has to be an adult who can look at the substance in question and determine the level where it becomes toxic, and the level below which it is completely tolerable. Usually it is a situation where that substance cannot ever be completely removed from the underlying product. It's a matter of how much it makes sense to spend to minimize the dosage. Red food dye can kill you? Maybe, if you consume enough of it and you live long enough.

You mean like lead and asbestos?
Additives in food is somewhat different than lead and asbestos. We have spent hundreds of billions of dollars on removal of lead and asbestos and perhaps trillions. And of course, corrupted contractors made out like and its and live the life of Riley like royalty from it. Things that are supposed to help seems like they are used to enrich those who scam the government and the taxpayers.

I think there are moves that should be apolitical.

Like, if Trump was president in the early 1940's and ordered the invasion of the beaches of Normandy against Hitler.. the Democrats shouldn't find a way to side with Hitler. The View, CNN, MSNBC, etc shouldn't be like "Trump is so aggressive, Adolph wasn't doing anything wrong, this is Trump being a dictator"
yer fantasies about yer dear peter are most laughable. Trump is a puzzy that has a hard time standing up for himself when sitting to pee. He enjoys his fast food with all the dyes, grease, and all the salt one can consume and still exist.

Democrats support poison in America's food because they are traitors working with the WEF on a plot to intentionally collapse America.
Not really, but you can continue to show the excessive valuation of insanity.

yeah .. but you emplied he did said God things for nefarious reasons .
I didn't say anything about god. but if you mean "good" then yes, I would be inclined to believe it was done either negligently or for an undisclosed reason that we wouldn't like if we knew.
