Can Islam Be Civilized?

Energy from the Sun is free.

Sadly, the equipment needed to turn it into electricity is expensive.
New tech is always expensive, but mass production negates those things.

Do you remember when a 27 inch CRT television cost $500 in 1990? Equivalent to over $1300 today? Now Walmart you can buy a 65 inch 4K for $500, equivalent to $190 in 1990.

Projection again. You support mass murder yet think I’m the crazy one.

Christian Zionists are the dumbest MFers.

If it’s conclusively proven Israel has killed over 500,000 Palestinians, do you still support it?

Projection? I simply asked what's the matter with you, I never projected you simpleton

Mass production doesn't negate the fact that solar is intermittent.

Well obviously they aren’t real Christians, since they refuse to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Sad but true. They talk a lot but demonstrate very little.

Intelligent, educated and rational people can see how similar these White Christian Nationalists are to Jihadists; both are ultra-conservative, dictatorial and are pushing for a theocratic form of government.

Obviously, like the space station or a moonbase, power storage is another part of the solution.

Once sustainable fusion reactors are developed, most of these problems will go away.

In the late 1800s, people said "Man will never fly", but man did create powered flight in 1903 and, 66 years later, mankind landed on the Moon.

Naysayers will always exist, but those who seek to advance mankind will also always exist.

I supported solar power satellites in space since 1980.

The tech continues to improve.

One reason why Trump went to China is that China is the exporter of 95% of the world's rare earth minerals which are important for computer chips and, you guessed it, solar panels.

If the United States wants to maintain the lead in tech, we need to look forward, not backward toward fossil fuel profiting.

Here's the even better news; the less fossil fuel the West uses, the less need for dealing with the nutbags in the ME. :)

Of particular importance to the U.S. defense and renewable energy industries is the use of 17 “rare earth elements,” or RRE, that are vital to the 21st Century green economy. Electric car batteries need magnetized parts to hold their charges longer, and massive wind turbine generators need lightweight magnets to control their spinning blades and keep them from being torn apart in heavy winds. Only rare earth minerals with exotic names like neodymium, praseodymium and dysprosium can create these magnets.

Unfortunately, China currently accounts for two-thirds of the world’s rare earth mining, 85 percent of its refining, and 90 percent of production. Many experts believe the long-term success of the Biden administration’s trillion-plus dollar green infrastructure legislation largely depends on its ability to break the Chinese stranglehold on these supplie
s.
