I find it harder and harder to take California seriously.......~S~
Is Texas' talk of secession somehow less humorous?

Or my state of Vermont? Is Texas' talk of secession somehow less humorous?
TX has talked about seceding since they existed. CA will play hell getting this passed. There are enough people that want to split CA into two states that will doom any secession talk.Is Texas' talk of secession somehow less humorous?
Don't know. I have heard that a state can't leave on their own. The federal government should be involved, and they will be involved without any doubts. Insurrection, treason and all other petty things will be quickly applied in 'the land of the free'. To say nothing about such dishonest straws as dividing the state on two, three, etc separate parts. This yo.
I remember talking to some people a long time ago, we were talking about whether individual states should be allowed to secede from the union. Some people were saying that the federal government could and should invade if a state decided to do so. It's like they didn't care about the will of the people.
I also thought that it was written somewhere that individual states were promised, at the beginning, that they had the freedom to secede.
Plus the monies owed to the federal government for infrastructure and defense.Don't know. I have heard that a state can't leave on their own. I have read that California is the main (or at least among the top ones) contributor to the federal budget. If true, it is a question who owes to whom.Plus the monies owed to the federal government for infrastructure and defense.
Sounds like an insurrection.
