The problem with refineries in California is that refineries require water, and CA doesn't have enough water to go around.

It requires 468 Gallons of water to refine one barrel of oil.

Actually, they are leaving and just refining more at existing plant where they can get the water and no one cares they are polluting the environment.

Again, back off with the TDS will ya. If you look into the reason by Valero, it has nothing to do with Trump. Chevron didn't pack up from the company's headquarter in San Ramon and move to TX because Trump told them. Chevron, before renaming to Chevron, was founded in San Francisco and left for San Ramon in 2001. The company started the moving process in 2021 and left in 2024. Both Chevron and Valero shared the same reason for leaving CA and I am sure you can figure out why if you remove Trump from your brain for a minute..

Sorry, man, Trump said he was going to bring the jobs back, but all I see are plants closing, resturants closing franchises, companies laying off thousands and relocating those office jobs to India or using AI.
