California orders no EV charging over Labor Day weekend

This is DemoKKKrat leadership at it's finest. They banned gas engines, but lack the forethought and competence to provide adequate electricity to charge EVs.

I guess everyone can just stay home :auiqs.jpg:but make sure that thermostat isn't set lower than 78!

Enjoy!

Hoping to avoid blackouts, the California Independent System Operator, which manages the state’s power grid, warned Tuesday that it probably will issue a series of Flex Alerts over the next several days. Flex Alerts are voluntary calls for conservation during the afternoon and evening hours, when energy use tends to soar. Residents will be asked to turn up their thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, avoid using dishwashers or other large appliances, and hold off on charging their electric vehicles, all during the 4-9 p.m. time frame.

Already, the grid manager has issues a “restricted maintenance operations” notice starting Wednesday — a directive telling power generators and transmission line operators to delay routine maintenance that would take generating or transmission equipment offline.
Buy an electric car and they have you by the balls.

California upgrades it's mass transit system...

and texas is the bastion of freedom.

How many power generation plants has Pretty Boy Newsome authorized to be built between now and when you can only drive EVs?

Zero sound about right?

Morons.

's ridiculous here!

Triple digits for the next 10 days and we get ".....turn your AC up to 80 or turn on a fan..."
Just wait until they have SmartGrid in place and they can change the thermostat for you, whether you like it or not.

Before Arnold, it was Gray Davis, who cut a bunch of dirty deals with Enron and instigated the first wave of blackouts and failures in the state electrical grid. That **** was in office the first year I lived in Sacramento, and we got to experience 108 degree heat with no a/c.
yea davis was pretty bad.....

thats bullshit we have something like that here in vegas....they dont control nothing unless you let them control your thermostat....you can over ride them....

Those stupid Democrats have really screwed up that state.

Just think what load it will put on the electric grid system after the Democrat's mandate of no more ICE vehicles goes into effect.

No wonder 1500 people a day are moving out of that Commie state to Free America.
As long as they get cargo from Asia there is nothing to be done. We need another canal built in central america.

California's electrical grid is in worse shape than Texas, but no one is being ordered not to charge their EVs.

That day will come, however.

And don't charge your EV! You'll stay in your overheated house, and you'll like it!
Yessssssssssss!!!!!

Heavy usage times between 4pm until midnight on triple digit days meaning you can't cook food, do laundry, dishes etc. The things a normal family need to do after work.

Sit in the dark like a mushroom

15th post
It's BEEN screwed up since before Swatsanagger was in office! He REALLY shoved that state down the toilet!!

Arnold was a RINO that kissed the ass of the Progressives so he does have some culpubility in the state being screwed up.

However, the overwhelming Democrat leadership in the state is what is ******* everything up. Everything they do is wrong.

We need to service the Nuke power plant that is getting ready to be shelved in Cali.
