Aside from any issues relating to what is or is not being expressed, that much paint on a road surface is a safety hazard that ought not be allowed. Legitimate paint on a road surface is done using special materials and methods to avoid creating painted surfaces that are too slick, especially when wet; and are done to a very minimal degree.

I think it is a very safe bet that this mural was not done using such materials and methods, and that in wet weather, poses a serious safety hazard due to impaired traction. It's also a distraction from legitimate road markings placed to inform drivers of things that they actually need to know.

The very first time that a collision occurs, as a result of someone losing traction on this painted road surface in wet weather; or as a result of someone failing to notice the painted crosswalk at one end or the other of the mural; the city ought to be held liable, as well as anyone else responsible for this mural.

These guys went about it the wrong way. This lady did it the right way. She insisted if BLM could have a mural on the street, it would violate her equal protection rights if they didn't allow her to have a MAGA mural on the street as well. They got rid of the BLM mural.
