A bullet train from California to Las Vegas will primarily benefit the casinos. That's the only possible entity that could benefit. It won't bring business to the state, it won't help Californians get jobs. Most of the train won't even be in California. The solution is to let the casinos set up a specal fund to pay for it.
Yeah, let's spend billions on something that's impossible to protect from a terrorist attack and is a proven money pit at a time when we're dead broke. But let's NOT allow a pipeline to be built without government money that will not only create jobs but give us better insurance against trouble in the Middle East. Gotta love the rational thinking of progressives!
