I'm not much for cake, but I do like carrot cake. I've become a real fan of fresh fruit pies and fruit/vegetable breads like date-nut, banana-nut and zucchini bread--LOL, it is the only way I like zucchini.

I like banana bread, have it often. Best thing to do with ageing bananas. But I leave off the nuts.
I make a mean apple pie. But - I give credit to the YouTuber "Preppy Kitchen" for that recipe. He is hard to beat for desserts.

Here in the NW, berries are plentiful. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and huckleberries. We have lots of berry pies. If I could get a bunch of juicy CA peaches, we would have those a lot as well but the growing season is too short for good peaches.
