" ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — If President Donald Trump succeeds in getting immigrants in the country illegally excluded from being counted in the redrawing of U.S. House districts, California, Florida and Texas would end up with one less congressional seat each than if every resident were counted, according to an analysis by a think tank. "

"The Democratic-led House Committee on Oversight and Reform is asking Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Census Bureau director Steven Dillingham and other officials to testify about the Republican president's directive at a hearing next Wednesday."

I hope its televised, I plan on watching.

It is highly doubtful he can legally do this, without changing the Constitution. It would also be almost impossible to implement, it is political theatre to jazz up his base and distract from his political problems.
Trump believes he is the law...and his despotic reign seems to enlighten the libertarians and the far right to think they can openly discriminate again.

It was illegal for Obama to do DACA, but he did it anyway, and some how got away with it.

Apples and oranges. Nice deflection though.

Apples and oranges are both types of fruit. If one president enact unconstitutional executive orders, so can the next president.

DACA may or may not be unconstitutional since (as Trump has amply shown us) the executive has considerable latitude in how immigration is enforced. What does it or Obama have to do with the census and redrawing of districts?

You're deflecting, you fascists are fully, nakedly, loosed from closet... Daca was an illegal executive order that literally created law out of thin air, it was so egregious even Obama apologized for it. Then Johnny Roberts led the scotus to rubber stamp it into actual law by creating non-existent loop hole current president failed to jump through, an absolutely profound back stab to the rule of constitutional law, which didn't leave Pandora's little box open so much as shatter it into million pieces at Roberts fascist feet. Well, what have we here, Trump, and his lawyers, clearly read Roberts edict, and perceived the magnitude of Roberts little episode of judicial legislation, and just turned it back upon his fascist ass, we call that checkmate! :auiqs.jpg:

So, he will ignore all the illegals in the other states?
How do you reach that conclusion?

The other states don't have an illegal population significant enough to affect the apportionment of House seats.

Our four largest states do, so does Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Chicago in Illinois, Georgia have large illegal alien presence, so does Lousianna, particularly New Orleans, Nevada, Arizona,, and many others, more than enough to control Congress and the Senate. If it weren't for 'amnesties' by Carter and Reagan, California would have around 12 fewer seats on Congress.

Then it will affect them (rightly) as well.

Laws, apportionment, and funding are for the purpose of taking care of this country and this country's legal citizens.

Under no circumstance should anyone not here legally have any representation or support. Not money, not programs, not benefits. They should be entitled to a ticket back to their home country with an understanding that should they be caught in this country as an illegal again, they will spend 25 years in federal prison.
