It was combined with Alpine Meadows in 2012. Strange name for a mountain ski resort, though I am certainly not offended, but I am not a Native American. Ranging from 6,200 ft to over 9,000 feet, it does not sound like a valley. I have not skied much in any valley. For valley runs, they sure have a lot of black diamond terrain.
