video equipment and as such means he has zero editorial input. Nobody consults him about what news will be aired.

there is a difference between news director who actually is running the show versus the technical director who is in charge of equipment.

There are news editors who actually write the story

Even the on air talent have more say

All who have way more input that him. I sure they do not consult him on what will be aired. He is just there for lights, camera, and equipment and hopes it all works or he will get the blame.

When the CNN people who work the dais go to the worst area of south central for a picnic without making it a TV event I may start to believe them. They all live in large homes or condos that are gated and/or secured. Socialists got to live the word they promote. And they do not. And that is a warning sign.
