British soccer Blackpool FC player Jake Daniels declares he's gay, most people receive him well on social media...why is this still an issue?

Not sure why his sex life matters in the game of soccer.
are you serious? soccer is the game of closeted gays,,,just look at cristiano ronaldo...and all the players go naked and shower after the game...surely he has a "look" at his most muscular "Favorites"

If that is what you need to believe, then go for it. I really don't care if a person is gay or not, not my business.

some players get uncomfortable if a gay player is staring at their body, that's all i'm saying

What about all other sports? Do they not also "go naked and shower after the game"?
Hint: they do.

The only openly gay man to have played in English soccer’s professional leagues was Justin Fashanu, who was not active at a high level when he made the announcement in 1990. The former Nottingham Forest and Norwich City striker was found hanged in a London garage at age 37. The Justin Fashanu Foundation calls him the “world’s first openly gay professional footballer.”

Thank you, why do people make such a big deal about someone being gay? Strange how a sexual preference matters to people.
It's soccer---and as long as he isn't hurting anyone like underage boys--no one should really care. I don't like soccer so not caring about a gay soccer player comes easy to me.
