Wouldn't it be nice to have a press corps in the US that actually did it's job?

Both CNN and msnbc went straight to fact checking and calling trump a liar.

CNN started before Trump was finished BSing.

Cackle queen kamala never even bothers to hold a press conference and doesn't answer questions.

I listened to some of it. He stated what he will do to address the issues. You may not agree with it if you're a communist, but that's not the issue.

Odd that the British are so eager to have Harris. It's almost as if they don't want America to succeed. "Share our misery with the bastards who left the monarchy 250 years ago. We don't forget!".

What questions did Trump answer today?
I only saw part of the press conference. The reporters seemed relieved that they finally had something to do. Trump answered 100% more questions than kamala ever answered.

Hey IM2, Wouldn't it be nice if your Presidential candidate would put on her big girl pant suit and actually FACE a press corp?

Okay, since you're running from Trump questions, what questions would you like Kamala to answer?

Inteesting. First, Why did you abandon your job as Attorney General and leave your office to out of control prosecutors to **** up the system? That would be my first. Second. "Was it just laziness that stopped you from going after the death penalty in the Bologna murder case or were you actively following cartel instructions? That would be my top two.

Or that the British had an American PM and he was an absolute disaster, and he was Trump lite. Boris Johnson.

It’s not that they want Harris. They’re anti Trump, all over Europe too. It’s identity politics they’re into, not actual real life policies.

Nothing to do with historical perspectives.

Not ‘seemingly pointless’ – it was in fact a pointless ‘press conference filled with lies.

If there was a point, it’s that Trump is unfit to be president.

Trump’s deranged ‘press conference’ was bizarre, psychotic, and full of lies.

‘Trump again wrongly insisted there had been a “peaceful transfer” of power in 2021 and renewed attacks on Republican rivals like Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, whom Trump has harshly criticized since Kemp refused to go along with his false theories of election fraud.

[…]

He repeatedly suggested Harris was not intelligent enough to debate him. Harris, for her part, has tried to goad Trump into debating and told an audience in Atlanta recently that if he had anything to say about her, he should " say it to my face.”

[…]

Trump has repeatedly — and falsely — accused Harris, the daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants, of previously downplaying that she is Black.

[…]

Trump falsely claimed during the press conference that “nobody was killed on Jan. 6,” the date in 2021 when pro-Trump rioters breached the U.S. Capitol amid Congress’ effort to certify Biden’s 2020 election victory after Trump refused to concede.

[…]

He also falsely claimed more people attended his speech at a “Stop the Steal” rally before the riot than the famous March on Washington in 1963, the iconic event at which Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I Have a Dream” speech.’

Because Donny is never hyperbolic and he never exaggerates.

Its not always a great press. They were generally passive during the last tory govt.
An example being the ridicukous Rwanda scheme. It was a total gimmick that Johnson invented to get his party excess off the front page. It bever had a hope of working yet they ran with it for over ywo years.

Ecen when the Dupreme court ruled it was unlawful they carried on with it and passed a law stating that Rwanda was a safe country.

The press reported this as straight news and not a gimmick.. Sunak was at the heart of this but was allowed to spout nonsense until he started being challenged late in the day.

Everyone knrw it was a shit policy but they laid off him until it was clear he was a loser. TV was just as bad. They gave a platform to luing tories for years simply because they are the govt.

I dont think it will change much under this govt

Newspapers who probbly can be trusted.
Guardian
Independent
Mirror
TV channels
Channel 4
ITV
BBC 2 Newsnight

Worth noting that the tories tried o sell off C4 in the last parliament. They also halved the time that Newsnight ran every night.
The tories packed the BBC board with party monkeys. They cracked down on BBC presemters. Gary Linekar presemts the weekly football show. He is a decent bloke and tweeted in favour of boat people. The yory agitated against him in league with the tory press.

The press is owned by billionaires and is generally conservative.
Thats why they agitate on tax issues. Most normal folk just want decent pub;ic services and a decent army. The billionaire class just wants lower taxes for themselves. They set the agenda.

That alliance between the press and the tories ruined britain. They are all ******* crazy.
