The irony is that Brexit has brought Europe together. Sir Humphrey, the civil servant in the British TV show "Yes Minister" said to the minister he was serving:

"Britain has had the same foreign policy objective for at least the last 500 years: to create a disunited Europe.”

It is too funny.

Taking into account how many countries with different background are now in the EU, it won’t be very difficult to create a ‘disunited Europe’ even without Britain inside.

Actually, Europe is forging ahead on integration. The British were the ones that were blocking more integration.

"Sir" Humphrey got that right.
Sadly, Europe will have to carry on without the English. In all honesty, they will be missed. I wonder if the Scottish will find a way to stay with the rest of us in the European Union.

I think the Scots would be attractive to the EU.Civilised and democratic. They would provide a have for a lot of the companies who are getting out.
