Historian Timothy Garton Ash has called Brexit the “upending of politics and middle-class assumptions in both the developed and the developing worlds". Britain's withdrawal from Europe is Britain's gain and Europe's loss. Britain will now be better off financially, and in every other way, without Europe dragging it down. There is no reason why the British should prop up sick economies, nor should they be forced to accept endless streams of poor and unemployable immigrants from Eastern Europe and the Muslim world.
