The police were fired at and acted in self defense
So if you were in the same situation you would have waited to see who was kicking in your door. Unbelievable.

On that i agree with you. More then a few states allow people to shoot under such circumstances. What about "stand your ground"? I feel the cops were justly charged here. Let the trial happen and see what happens.
Only one is indicted and that's for shooting in the next door apt.

Correct, and he will be acquitted by a jury of his peers.

So will the city now burn?
~~~~~~
More than likely they will... No matter the decision by the Grand Jury, BLM planned to riot.
Breonna Taylor chose her boy friend (a convicted drug dealer poorly) and died because her boy friend shot at the police and was caught in the firefight. The Grand Jury found that the Police involved did in fact follow procedure knock and announce themselves before the shooting.
Kenneth Walker is and was involved in the drug trade and is basically responsible for her death. He should be charged with her death.
It is illegal to serve a warrant in the middle of the night.
There was no evidence of Kenneth Walker being involved in any crime.
He had no arrest record, and worked for the postal service.
The police NEVER can legally fire into a building.
They have to see who they are firing at, and can only shoot at someone with a weapon.
They can not just shoot randomly into an apartment complex.
Bullets go right though those paper thin wall, and could kill people on the other side of the complex even.
It is illegal to raid in the middle of the night, and it is illegal to smash down the door with a battering ram over a very weak drug warrant.
you forgot to post a link to those laws,,,
I'm sure its just an oversight on your part and not intentional,,,
You do not need legislation because these are basic principles of a democratic republic.
Just as the federal government has jurisdiction over federal land, states have jurisdiction over state land, and municipalities have jurisdiction over city land, individuals have jurisdiction of their own home. You can not violate that sovereignty of a person's castle, unless it is necessary in order to defend the rights of others. That does not allow for midnight, no-knock, smashing down the door with a battering ram.
so what youre saying is no laws exist and youre butthurt and just makin shit up again,,,
GOT IT!!
No, it is the police who need the law to exist to specifically get them the authority to smash down a door in the middle of the night, when there is no evidence of a crime at that location.
And the police have no such law giving them that authority.
Her boyfriend wasn't a convicted drug dealer, that is a lie. Neither Taylor nor Kenneth Walker has any drug offenses on their records. What neighbor claimed they heard them announce themselves again? Her ex boyfriend was already in custody, so why were they are her apartment again? Why weren't any of these officers wearing body cameras? Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is a disgrace.
Simple, they had a warrant, and Kenneth Walker fired at them, injuring one officer...Not gonna end well when you shoot at police....
I am shocked that you right wingers are defending Mr Walker's actions, you claim if someone kicks your door in you have a right to defend yourself and your family.
They knocked and announced, and the boyfriend shot first. Case closed.
No one heard any police announcement, so then there could not have been one.
If there had been one, the neighbors would have heard it.
And it is still illegal for police to fire through a door or wall.
They could have killed people in the apartment next door even.
Laws have always existed, but in a democratic republic, the police only have that authority they are specifically authorized to have, which does not include a no-knock warrant, busting down doors at night, shooting blindly through the door or wall, etc.
Everything the police did was illegal.
Maybe yes maybe no but that doesn't change the fact that this was a tragic accident....we don't execute folks for running a red light and killing someone....
Bullshit. It was no accident.
It was malign incompetence and depraved indifference to life and property.
It was homicide.
When you say it was no accident are you implying that the cop shot her on purpose for no reason?...that's insane!....gun fire was coming out of the home so gun fire was returned.....libs always want perfection in every act and deed and that just isn't the way God set us up....sorry snowflake...shit happens....sometimes bad shit happens....
the guy had legal use of a gun and he fired at intruders.
Well the cops were the intruders...and there is a witness that lives upstairs that heard the cops banging on the door announcing they were the police...if he heard them Brianna's boyfriend heard them too....
There is no such thing as self defense while committing a crime.
He Justifiably shot at Breonna Taylor he’s in trouble for shooting at another apartment
He didn't. Maybe he wasn't charged but he had no reason to be there.
Who didn't? The police?
No, the real estate agent.
Oh, being snarky there are we? Look dumbass, ofcourse the police had business there, they were executing a warrant on the residence....
Me? You knew what I was talking about obviously.
The police did not commit a crime
They even completely ignored the lie to get the warrant in the first place.
The lie? What was that?
Its been covered many times.
Humor me....Cover it again...Unless ofcourse you are just making shit up to troll the thread...
To get the warrant the cop said that the post office said she was getting suspicious packages (whatever that is). The post office said that they had said no such thing.
Except that they knocked, and announced....So when he shot, he knew who it was that he was shooting at...
????
They knock six times. No answer. They announce police and we are coming in. No answer. They get fired on and one gets shot in the leg. They fire back. What crime did they commit?
