That was not an available option for the officer, however I would be more skeptical of the officer's actions should he have chosen to engage with deadly force, had a clear shot at the intended target and had not followed through, because that would only mean he wasn't convinced it was necessary to protect himself or others from bodily injury or death in the first place.

You don't get to have it in whatever way may suit your silly notions, because it's not a ******* game you nitwit.

The officer moved to the front of the vehicle, doing the "Tiananmen Square" thing, daring her to target him so he could shoot her. If ICE wanted her out of the vehicle they should have secured it with road spikes or by shooting out the tires. It looks more like premeditated murder all the time.
