But your statement was:

Not "Tariffs and War are bad for America - unless they are authorized by Congress."

You then go on to express support and admiration for our joining in the worst war of the twentieth century, and maybe worst of all time. I know you feel you have to defend FDR.

If you want to argue whether authorization should be required to defend ourselves, I'm happy to do so. But making blanket statements that don't stand up to analysis only slows that debate down.

President Trump is simply following President Obama's lead when Obama bombed Libya in 2011 without Congress declaring war.
