I admit that Clinton's campaign was trying to tie Trump to the Russians. We all saw them do it and we saw Trump say a bunch of dumb shit about how much he loved Russia.
I don't know why your panties are in a wad about it. You guys have done far worse more frequently over the years.
Had either the Obama Administration or the Clinton campaign chosen to leak or release as yet unproven intelligence of cooperation between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence campaign, they could easily have done so.
That such coordination was strongly suspected almost from the beginning of the Trump campaign is not in doubt.
Early signs included Trump's near total dependence on Russian controlled banks and associated money launderers to finance his real estate empire, making him extremely vulnurable to foreign influence (as subsequent events would show).
Trump's decision to appointing Paul Manafort, a known associate of Russian intelligence in the Ukraine as Campaign manager.
His use of Cambridge Analytica as a gathering operation for potential Trump voters to be targeted by Russian social media disinformation campaigns. (the Russians owned the UK operation of Cambridge Analytica).
And the obvious use of Russian obtained hacked email in the campaign.
But the intelligence was not solid enough to be used in public until very near the election, and Obama was too cautious to use it without total verification. This is a political mistake Trump would not make. Allegations are proof in Trump world.
Had the FBI known about the Trump Tower meeting on September or October of 2016, it would have all been over.
But they didn't.
The details of the coordination between the Russians and the Trump campaign would not emerge until after the election, and their thorough documentation would not emerge until the Mueller Report, which the Trump regime tried to block, and then supress.
