One of the largest and influential worker’s unions, Teamster has always shown a lot of loyalty to the Democratic Party when it is election time. They have approximately 1.4 million active members located in Canada and the United States and their support has always been vital for the Democrats.

This year however they have decided to not publicly endorse any candidate for either party. It has even been said by someone close to the union that many candidates are leaning towards a Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

EDIT: Apparently today the Teamsters came out for their criminal friend Hillary. Not surprising. Sure would be good for the Unions if they had some backbone against trade deals that have hurt so many.

Organized Labor, like any other organization, is responsible for it's own future. Currying political favor from one major party or the other won't do much to assist the organization.

That they are neutral this year "hurts" Clinton more than Trump on the surface because other unions will likely adopt the same stance. However, membership is free to vote how they wish and given the war on unions by Scott Walker and others...they will break in Clinton's favor. Overwhelmingly in Union strongholds and less so in other areas.

Hillary Clinton cemented her union support Friday, picking up a major endorsement from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

The Teamsters unanimously voted to endorse Clinton in a blow to GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has campaigned for the union vote.

“We are proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for President of the United States,” Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa said in a statement. “She is the right candidate for the middle class and working men and women across the country.”

Bobby Joe is bringing his wheelbarrow full of spent .22 shells, a half bag of Whoa Boy dog food, a pack of rolling papers, and some chiclets. Sandy says she has a whole box of deodorant she hasn't used. Her next door neighbor Leanne is bringing her hair dryer, two packs of glue on nails, some old Christmas lights off her porch, a used nail file, and a remote control from a 1986 Magnavox 24" tv but the mute button is worn out. Billy Joe at the Chick Fil A said we could load up on crushed ice long as we each buy a large soda.

If we need to get across the river Donny said he could take us in his boat if the motor will start.

Most of the rank and file in the past have voted Republican anyway; most union members don't follow their leaders around like robots and could care less who Hoffa endorses or any other Teamster 'official'.

Meanwhile they enjoy a right to their jobs, profit sharing, job security, great healthcare, pensions, sick days, maternity and paternity leave free schooling and a livable wagem
