Breaking News. Plane crash in DC. Collided with either helicopter or drone over Potomac.

What the fuck is wrong with some of you dumb ass liberals. 67 people are dead some children. Floating in the Potomac River. I also saw Trump put out his thoughts of possible blame on the helicopter pilot. DEI is bullshit. Stop trying to use another strategy to push your agenda. Majority of Americans don’t want to hear about DEI and you going on about it doesn’t help your cause of your candidates being reelected if they continue with that BS. Just like you do with every shooting, you don’t give a shit about the victims you just care about your politics and what it could benefit you as a cultist to your party.
The head of the FAA was pushed out by Musk because he wanted to fine Musk companies.
The freeze on hiring kept pressure on the air traffic controllers.
Trump is just trying to cover his ass for what his own administration did.

So this does not seem like a mistake happened in the last few seconds. They were way too close for a good bit?
And I just saw where they collided. The jet was using the east west runway. Meaning it would have to be further to the east.

Interesting. The required route takes them directly through commercial airspace used for landing at Reagan. If neither plane was off course. then this was a disaster waiting to happen.
There are 2 military bases directly across the river from the airport.

Irrelevant. If they are prioritizing hiring diversity over competence, they are not getting the most competent.

Are you saying that as long as planes don’t crash, it’s OK to discriminate against whites?
Please tell me how you know who.is responsible for this accident and that some unqualified black person caused it, smfh and you wonder why folks call you a racist hag.

Andrews is though about 5 miles east of the rivers eastern bank. Bolling much closer
JBAB and NRL are the two I am talking about. Both directly across from the airport.

President Donald Trump scrapped an aviation safety committee that had been in place for more than three decades, just a few days before a deadly airplane crash at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night.

On Jan. 21, his second day in office, Trump sent a memo to members of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee telling them that their membership had been eliminated. The committee made recommendations to the FAA on issues relating to travel safety.

The Trump memo said the gutting of the committee was being done as part of a process of “eliminating the misuse of resources and ensuring that [Department of Homeland Security] activities prioritize our national security.”

I'm not sure if an effective investigation is possible, which will be a travesty for the families.
I just watched the “president” of the United States conclude his investigation as to the cause of last night’s tragedy. His extensive experience as a passenger enabled him to attribute the cause to hiring of diverse staff for ATC, by people other than him. People that are not “mentally competent.”

That, and the need for aircraft to be at different “heights.” So, no need to wait for years. Just common sense. Any questions?

It will be painfully difficult for the NTSB to conduct an effective investigation at this point. Absolutely every official appointed by Trump will be sworn to uphold his analysis. Any investigation team will be battling statements issued by the White House, late night posts on social media, and pressure from Trump appointees.

I am concerned that any report will be riddled with references to DEI and wokeism as the proximate cause, because the president has already said so.

Perhaps there were enough foreign nations represented on board to enable another nation to take the lead. The passenger aircraft was a CRJ, so perhaps Canada could take the lead.

But the US won’t be able to lead this. Not now. The president isn’t in search of the truth, and neither is his administration.

Planes landing safely is literally the definition of competence in the field. And, statistically, they remain as safe as they’ve ever been.

Singular incidents of aircraft accidents in no way suggests there’s any sort of “DEI effect” in air traffic control.

The change isn't even effective yet.

1) Did I say unqualified black caused it? No.

2) The only people calling me a racist hag are anti-white libtards. They insist that anyonr objecting to anti-white discrimination is racist. How ironic.

3) The point is that when a policy gives more weight to diversity than competence, with the objective of hiring fewer whites, you will not get the most competent in 70% of the jobs, since whites are 70% of the population.

And you wonder why people call you a moron.

So you’re saying that as long as planes ALMOST ALWAYS land safely, it’s OK to be racist and discriminate against whites.

Also, we would not even be having this discussion if libtards didn’t believe that it is OK to reject the best-qualified candidate if he is white because…..diversity! THAT IS RACIST.

I’m not sure I agree with directly across. BAB does have the rivers width plus about a half mile of land east of the rivers east bank. It seems like this activity normally has the heles and planes about 1/2 mile apart. This time they were right on top of each other pretty quick

Trump has killed more Americans than all or our enemies combined.
Your thesis is that if only Trump hadn’t touched the aviation safety commission, this tragedy would not have happened.

Yeah. You’re a tool.

A helicopter and another aircraft collided near Reagan National Airport Wednesday evening, two people familiar with the incident said, drawing a large emergency response. The D.C. fire department said on X that a small aircraft was reported down in the Potomac River near the airport but did not immediately provide more details of what happened.

The D.C. police department said it was responding to an “apparent air crash in the Potomac River.” The people who described the aircraft involved in the collision spoke on the condition of anonymity because an investigation into the matter is underway. Fireboats were reported on the scene. It could not immediately be determined if there were any injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration said the airport has been closed due to an emergency.

No survivors is not that surprising. This time of year, the waters in the Potomac River very cold. It would be better for to end the very ugly and very racist of DEI played a role in the crash. No such proof exists and serves to create conspiracy theories.

It's a U.S. aircraft that crashed on U.S. soil. The NTSB will investigate this crash. Not a committee on aircraft security and not another country.

Too much guessing and blaming going on right now from those not involved with the investigation. The only people that know 100% what caused it are not here to give info. It'll be interesting to see what data that black box recorders can give us. We know the plane was following what the ATC told them to do. The Blackhawk crew, as best I can tell, may have dropped elevation thinking the aircraft they were to "go behind" was the one that is seen passing in front seconds before the collision. That one they could visually see. The one behind them and coming in at an angle to line up with the runway was the one they couldn't visually see.
