As always, you lefties miss the point.
I do not have a problem with Biden pardoning his son. I have a problem with him and KJP lying about it and then the media serving up false platitudes about Biden’s integrity for not pardoning his son.
HE SHOULD HAVE SAID “I CAN AND WILL PARDON HIM BECAUSE I AM POTUS AND THAT PRIVILEGE IS GIVEN TO POTUS.”
It is not difficult. He lied for political expediency…as did the media reporting on it.

I think that presidents shouldn't be allowed to pardon family members because it gives them and unfair advantage.
Because he was then running for reelection and he knew pardoning his son would not fit the “no one is above the law” narrative he kept bleating.

Hunter was due for sentencing in about two weeks...which is why his father pardoned him now. Calculate THAT!Actually (using the MAGA's point) Hunter wasn't CONVICTED, which is what happens upon sentencing.

According to the House investigating committee with subpoena power that looked into it, including international banking records) the problem is proof. That is why no referrals. Looks like you may be out of luck and have to live with it. Here is where it stands now.
No statutes of limitations on RICO violations.

Yes. He lied and used this pardon for self serving reasons. There’s only one problem. He also eliminated the ability of Hunter Biden to invoke his fifth amendment privilege as a witness in a future hearing.so his response was to further lie and hide his crimes?

Joe knows where all the dirt is.Depends, if the investigation into hunter has roots into the investigation into Joe. There was a reason Joe made the pardon date back to 2014. If it were just about the gun crime and the taxes, he could have pardoned him for those things. But he made it a blanket pardon for 10 years.
There's something under the surface here.
Also, depending on the crime, I know we like to say there are no limits on presidential pardon, but I can think of a few things where a presidential pardon could be overridden.

True, the pardon has been used a lot over the last decade or so. Honestly, I'm not even against him pardoning hunter, I suggested that a few weeks ago, however, this blanket pardon back to 2014 points to something more nefarious, that needs to be fleshed out

The sweeping pardon covers not only Hunter Biden's convictions in two cases in Delaware and California, but also any other “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.”That is not what he was charged with though. We cannot be honorable unless we apply the same standards to everybody, even those we despise. We protested lawfare being used against Trump with perhaps very insignificant infractions blown up into monumental felonies and not see that something of the same thing was being used against Hunter. We can't get around the very real probability that he was charged with a small gun crime so the government could overlook the big stuff. A kind of pound of flesh thing.
Okay maybe we could draw the comparison of Al Capone who wasn't charged for some horrible crimes he committed due to lack of evidence so they got him for tax evasion. But his dad wasn't President of the United States so Capone went to prison.
Hunter and Trump are different in that they couldn't find any evidence for the big crimes they accused Trump of so they had to manufacture some crime out of something else. We know in all probability Hunter committed bigger crimes and perhaps the government even had sufficient evidence to convict him of those but they chose the gun crime so everybody would focus on that and forget about the other stuff.
But if it was your kid, would you let him go to prison for something as inconsequential as that gun crime that harmed no one if you had the power to pardon him? And Biden is gambling on Trump's big heart that he won't go after Hunter once he is in office. And Trump's track record is such that in fact he is unlikely to go after Hunter or Joe once he is in office.
Yes it all stinks. But it is what it is. And if we can get past all this and back to a normal America it will have been worth it.
Evidence of pedophilia is on the laptop. Hunter Biden, POS, filmed it himself.
But now it's official: Democrats are okay with pedophilia.
