BREAKING NEWS: Biden pardons his son

I never lie, or at least, not on purpose.

I would never be in a position to pardon my son because I will never run for public office. That's like you saying, "Well if you were in labor, would you do it naturally?" The hypothetical is ridiculous.

I DID think, however, that you were big on politicians keeping their word?
As a general rule yes, but am a realist above all else. It is a done deal, whining about it will do nothing, especially since Joe will not be running for President again, and like I said, if it were my son and I had the power, the taxes, and penalties already paid and the weapons charge(s) all remaining, I would have pardoned him to, while having the power. Good luck to you and yours try to get some rest. Not a thing you can do about it, but ***** and moan, though totally impotent of affect.

To me this isnt just about lying, it’s about undermining a major, years long democrat crusade on Trump. The entire thing is a fraud. Your side said no one is above the law and that the justice department is infallible.

Now, your side says the justice department can go after people for political reasons and Joe’s son is above the law

The entire “convicted felon” saga is collapsed. Indeed, People CAN be wrongly convicted if they are targeted. Conservatives know this and said this all along. Your side said “never”. Now your side does it.

It all came out in the wash. It’s just nice to see it so transparently so you have to own it
It also highlights the hoax impeachment was a fraud. Let's not forget that impeached Trump because he said something to the new Ukraine admin about the corrupt dealings of the Xiden's over there....that really started this, but for that, the FBI wouldn't of learned about Hunter not paying taxes on that income....it's not a surprise the Big Guy's pardon goes all the way back to when Hunter started working there.

And yet it’s extremely rare that anyone faces criminal charges for this exact circumstance.

Hunter Biden was treated differently than the rest of us because of politics. The only reason he was charged is right wing pressure.
In a pure dictatorship some years from now, things like this will be the cause as the nation declines. Dystopian like the movies. Imagine having death fights. Several illegals armed and will get their citizenship if they survive an encounter with proven American elitist criminals. So, they may go against Joe's family. All of it televised. Progs pushed Joe knowing in 2020 he was corrupted and having dementia. Joe told us they cheat. Nancy hinted at it before the 2020 election. Honor, integrity and character are a tough road I know. At least try to get into that after all of the years of being around a nation that smells naturally of political corruption.

You really think there aren't any??? The list probably runs several pages, and includes most of their relatives as well.
According to the House investigating committee with subpoena power that looked into it, including international banking records) the problem is proof. That is why no referrals. Looks like you may be out of luck and have to live with it. Here is where it stands now.

Wesley Snipes never paid his taxes. I believe he made legal arguments that he never had to pay taxes.

Totally different.
I agree, Snipes ACTUALLY FILED TAXES....Hunter simply didn't....for years.

Snipes filed a, and claimed more things as refunds then the IRS proved he couldn't....he did so with an actual accountant.

Hunter, knowingly, and intentionally, simply didn't even bother to file, let a lone pay......and did so for YEARS

It was only paid in 2019, when a Xiden donor covered it when the story broke about the investigation.

Hunter was treated differently because of politics, the politics being his dad was President.

It was expected but it did provide cover for the 725 million more in munitions he sent to Ukraine.

US will send Ukraine $725 million more in counter-drone systems, anti-personnel land mines

I imagine there will be congressional committees conviened after trump assumes office, to look into the allegations, on much deeper and meaningful level.
Nope, at least not on Hunter, unless you can get something into court older that 10 years, which is doubtful due to statutes of limitations, and the Republican committee could find no proof to get the referral you want.

You’re factually incorrect on nearly every point.

We haven’t seen a pardon as sweeping as Hunter Biden’s in generations

The “full and unconditional” pardon is aimed at protecting the president’s son from future prosecution by the Trump Justice Department.
2 Dec 2024 ~~ By Betsy Woodruff Swan

Hunter Biden’s pardon looks a lot like Richard Nixon’s.
President Joe Biden’s grant of clemency on Sunday night — an extraordinary political act with extraordinary legal breadth — insulates his son from ever facing federal charges over any crimes he possibly could have committed over the past decade.
Experts on pardons said they could think of only one other person who has received a presidential pardon so sweeping in generations: Nixon, who was given a blanket pardon by Gerald Ford in 1974.

“I have never seen language like this in a pardon document that purports to pardon offenses that have not apparently even been charged, with the exception of the Nixon pardon,” said Margaret Love, who served from 1990 to 1997 as the U.S. pardon attorney, a Justice Department position devoted to assisting the president on clemency issues.
“Even the broadest Trump pardons were specific as to what was being pardoned,” Love added.
Joe Biden’s “full and unconditional pardon” of his son is deliberately vague. Donald Trump and his allies have long fixated on the president’s son, and Trump has repeatedly pledged to use his second term to investigate and prosecute members of the Biden family. Conservative commentators have engaged in parlor-game speculation that Hunter Biden could be charged with bribery, illegal lobbying or other crimes stemming from his foreign business activities and drug addiction.
So rather than merely pardoning his son for the gun crimes for which he was convicted and the tax crimes for which he pleaded guilty, the president’s pardon covers all “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in” from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 1, 2024.

Commentary:
So in effect the pardon covers any criminal act that Hunter may have committed during that ten year period which would include treason and murder.
A blanket exemption for family, for anything done (known and unknown) for a decade; is Executive abuse of power.
This doesn’t even begin to touch the “Conflict of Interest” issue. It is complete Nepotism.
Proving beyond any shadow of a doubt Hunter has been a very, very bad boy for those 11 years. Including when Trump was in office.
Just how much treachery with the Ukraine and especially the Chinese was Hunter involved in

You’re factually incorrect on nearly every point.
Hunter Xiden failed to even file taxes for YEARS, he did so willfully, and intelligently....it was only paid back by a Dem Donor, in 2019, Kevin Morris.

There are numerous other cases: Bozeman construction company owner sentenced to prison, fined $75,000 for failing to pay taxes to IRS | Internal Revenue Service

A Texas man was sentenced today to 41 months in prison for evading his taxes by not reporting income he earned while working overseas.

According to court documents and statements made in court, from 2013 to 2018, Peter Joseph Tignini, formerly of Cypress, Texas, worked in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, earning over $4,750,000 in income. For tax years 2013 through 2017, Tignini filed false tax returns that claimed that his income was only approximately $100,000 each year. The amount Tignini reported each year was near or below the amount that U.S. citizens who live and work abroad for most of a year can exclude from their taxable income on their U.S. tax return. Tignini did not file a return for 2018. As a result, Tignini caused a tax loss to the IRS of $1,169,348.

Moreover, this blanket pardon, covers TEN years, from the time Hunter took a job in Ukraine, until today. It's unprecedented.

Interesting how Republicans are suddenly against Pardons
Interesting how Democrats suddenly think the justice department can be corrupt…

And that some people CAN be above the law…

Things conservatives have been saying the whole time. You guys denied it and postured for years, but you were a fraud the entire time. As soon as it was to your interests, you abandoned your “principles” (if they ever existed)

No Democrat who says a platitude should ever be believed again.

Can you remember over the years Democrats whining on that no one is above the law? Now 3 scoops dementia Biden says his son is. Let that sink in Lefties.

Every one of those cases has substantial differences than with Hunter Biden.

Prosecuting criminally is very rare.
