Last week, 7,000 migrants were released in downtown McAllen, Texas. More than 1,500 tested positive for COVID-19 over the past seven days, according to a city document issued Wednesday.

The city of 141,000 residents in the Rio Grande Valley is ground zero for the border crisis. Agents in the valley encounter more illegal immigrants than any of the Border Patrol's other eight regions. Many migrants come thousands of miles from Central America and elsewhere to cross the border just miles south of downtown McAllen, where they are picked up, processed, and dropped off downtown.

Abbott chases after the wrong problem (illegal immigrants) and Biden remains AWOL, along with VP Kamala Harris.

The definition of amnesty is the act of releasing or protecting a person or persons from prosecution for wrongdoings. An example of amnesty is when the US government lets in a foreign citizen to help protect that citizen from being killed in his own country. An example of amnesty is when a criminal is told to go free.

So no, given amnesty isn't the same as becoming a citizen of the united states. And until their hearing they aren't anything but an illegal. And just letting them loose isn't doing anyone any favors. And they do not test them either.
