Federal cases were closed for now because a sitting president can't be criminally tried according to DOJ guidelines. Everything else is just your baseless imagination.

Smith asked for a dismissal without prejudice, which means the prosecutor can refile the complaint after Trump finishes his second term. The question is .. why'd he do that? This case has already had many issues, including the legitimacy of Smith's appointment (which led to an earlier dismissal) and the limited immunity recognized in Trump v. US. It's not the scenario of suspending a prosecution and would most likely require a new indictment. Translated: It's over, and Smith is expediting the decision in hopes of getting the final report publicized before Trump starts. You'll be okay.

The sentencing in the Bragg case has been postponed indefinitely, and Judge Juan Merchan granted Trump's legal team permission to file a motion to dismiss the case, with a submission deadline of December 2, 2024.

Case is being dropped (for now) because DOJ doesn't prosecute current presidents. It has nothing to do with merits of the case and Jack Smith correctly stated exactly that.
