This is not just a followup on the UAE-Israel normalization, and yes the same arguments can be made,
that we weren't actually in a state of war, and that these developments are not just recent,
these relations, even cooperation at times, were nourished for at least a decade.

But the main thing here - the normalization is crossing the denomination boundaries in the Muslim world.
UAE is a majority Sunni country, as the majority of the countries joining alliance with Israel.

Bahrain is a Shia majority, we're witnessing a breaking off from the Shia axis led by Iran.
It might be a tiny country, but making a tectonic shift.

I will add a grain of salt. Bahrain is a Shia majority, but the ruling family there is Sunni. Several years ago wide protests happened, and only involvement of Saudi military helped the dynasty remain in power.

Bahrain hasn't been in Shia axis. It was and is an ally of the Saudis.
