One last heist vignette, a more socially conscious parable, inspired by Blood Diamond (Leo DiCaprio). Thanks for reading,

====

A young American woman in LA named Bonnie was about to go to sleep after a long day at work when a home-invader wearing a clown mask broke into her house through the back door, claiming he was sent by the CIA to take the diamonds hidden in her safe in the wall of her bedroom containing Antwerp diamonds belonging to her drug-dealing ex-boyfriend Ramirez. Bonnie told the home-invader she'd broken up with Ramirez and had no idea he had ties to underworld Antwerp diamonds belonging to the CIA, but the masked home-invader insisted she needed to not interfere in these matters. Bonnie was frightened and allowed the home-invader to inspect her bedroom wall for the safe containing the diamonds. The masked thief cracked the discovered safe and took the diamonds and disappeared, leaving Bonnie amazed and amused, honestly!

Well, two weeks later, this masked home-invader called Bonnie and confessed he wasn't CIA. Bonnie giggled and told him she figured as much but suspected her ex-boyfriend was indeed a crime ghoul. The calling home-invader introduced himself as Clyde, a regular underworld thief with a real set of scruples, claiming he thought Bonnie was beautiful and wondered if she'd see him. Bonnie confessed dating Ramirez made her interested in finding a new beau who might not be as 'dark' or immersed in unscrupulous underworld activities. Bonnie was curious to see if this new man, Clyde, was a 'good thief' as the proverbs go! Clyde told Bonnie he intended to rob the Salk Bank in La Jolla holding $20 million diamonds from Antwerp and South Africa, real blood diamonds. Bonnie confessed she found the prospect of cracking this 'Salk Bank' seemed like a real redemption deal.

Bonnie and Clyde visited the Salk Bank the next month dressed as visitors from Saudi Arabia, claiming they were wealthy investors seeking to purchase diamonds from Europe and South Africa being stored in the Salk Bank in California. They requested to be shown the vault room which contained the safe box containing the $20 million diamonds. Bonnie and Clyde were in possession of some of the stolen diamonds from Ramirez, Bonnie's ex-boyfriend, and some fake diamonds from the street, and they presented it to the Salk manager as investment gems they'd like to compare with the special Antwerp diamonds being held at the Salk. The manager showed them the Antwerp beauties and when he did, Bonnie and Clyde pulled out miniature guns hidden in the soles of their shoes which were filled with corrosive HCL acid. They informed the Salk manager they intended to substitute the Salk diamonds from Antwerp with the ones they brought with them!

After taking the $20 million diamonds from Antwerp, Bonnie and Clyde hopped onto an Aer Lingus flight from LAX, after depositing the traded money from the black market into a private new Swiss bank account, and flew to Geneva, where they retired to enjoy the fruits of their underworld labors. Bonnie and Clyde intended to spend the remainder of their lives as a loving married couple, enjoying the merits of infilitrating the ugly and evil world of blood diamonds from Antwerp and South Africa. Bonnie confessed she was thrilled that the more 'ethical thief' Clyde had pulled her away from the awful world of blood diamonds which her ghoulish ex-boyfriend Ramirez would've otherwise drowned her in, and Clyde kissed her passionately!

INTERPOL OFFICER SHAH: "I'm tracking this 'Bonnie and Clyde' and intend to bring them to inquiry and suspect they're in Europe."

Do you think Interpol Officer Shah will catch this Bonnie and Clyde? Are you cheering for Bonnie and Clyde? If you're interested in the world of blood diamonds, consider doing some home-research on the Internet or on Wikipedia to learn about this new underworld activity involving great terrorism, covert capitalism, and terrible new era piracy. Call your local Congressman and ask him what the US government is doing to seriously curb modern-day blood diamond anarchy!
