Israel is an ally, the Palestinians are not. Still, I'd agree with the government picking a side and cutting the other off totally. Israel's economy does not need our money and their defense industries are fully capable of being competitors with our own. In fact, I think the aid is meant to protect U.S. defense contractors moreso than any effort to "save" Israel. Those whose goal is to cripple Israel by having the U.S. turn its back on them (no accusation against you) will quickly find that such aid gives leverage against Israel's governments which might just finish the job of removing the thorn in their side if such aid and political help disappears.

For Palestinian relief it should be food and medical from American farmers and American manufacturers in my opinion, not dollars to be spent under their control. Israel has a good economy as far as I know. We ought to be selling them anything they want.

Supporting the only Democratic / free state / govt and nation in the entire Middle East against an extremely violent terrorist group whose expressed goal is to destroy Israel and affect the genocide of the Jews actually does make sense...unless you're an anti-Semite or a Hamas supporter.

I have no problem selling Israel military weapons and supplies to an ally who was just attacked by a terrorist group who fired over 4,000 rockets indiscriminately into Israel.

I have no problem helping them re-supply their Iron Dome defense system that protected them from the vast majority of those 4,000+ terrorist rockets.

I do have a problem with giving a terrorist group hundreds of millions of dollars, much of which they will use to re-supply their rocket arsenal in preparation of their next attack on Israel.

Would you fund a crack addicts habit....watch them hurt others while bringing serious damage to themselves only to fund their habit again after they run out of drugs / crash? Of course not.

In the same way Palestine should be given a choice - get rid of Hamas, drive them out, stop supporting, protecting, and facilitating these terrorist...who use the Palestinian people, their schools, & hospitals as human shields...and the US will help rebuild / fund the rebuilding of hospitals, schools, & homes in the name of piece.....OR continue to allow Hamas to remain and continue this violent pattern every few years and get NOTHING.

Or policy used to be 'we don't pay ransoms to / fund terrorists....Barry and Joe made it a habit. Barry and Biden armed, financed, supplied, trained, defended, protected, and facilitated terrorists and terrorist attacks (like helping fund the Paris attack by ISIS by refusing to allow the Coalition to strike their black market oil sites that paid for 50% of ISIS terrorist operations). Biden is taking up where Barry left off in funding Hamas through Palestine.

Israel, unlike Hamas, is NOT officially recognized world-wide as a terrorist organization or a terrorist country, like Iran.
