This wasn’t snow! My whole family has URIThe NWS is calling it an Alberta Clipper ...
Looking at this morning's Surface Analysis ... we have a picture perfect Wave Cyclone centered in southern Manitoba ... that's a very general term for any cyclone that spins down from the Polar Jet Stream ... for these to develop over Alberta or Manitoba is common enough to get their own special name ... and they move as fast as a Clipper ship I guess ...
It's the stationary front out ahead of this storm that's causing all the grief ... warm moist air from the south is driving over the top of the bitter cold polar air which produces massive amounts of snow ... AND it's stationary, all the snow is falling on one spot ha ha ha ... lucky you ...
I had an 1/8" of slush on top my rig a few weeks ago ... melted 15 minutes later ... now who do you think is the expert in climatology? ...
