There is no problem that creating more funny money can't solve. https://www.reuters.com/sustainabil...nday-after-rejecting-latest-offer-2025-08-03/ This is what we did when we were a country, now we have the F 35 which costs too much to risk in combat.

Boeing's original proposal included a 20% general wage increase over four years and a $5,000 ratification bonus, as well as more vacation time and sick leave. The union had rejected the offer, saying it was insufficient.

Many would kill for a job with a 5% raise every year for four years.

Unions have eroded industry and jobs.
We can't have workers rights can we? the vast majority of wage rises and benefit over many years have been won by Unions, otherwise we would still be working six days a week and sending kids down mines, that's if we had any mines left, at one time workers who tried to organize were jailed and transported as convicts to Australia.

That's like saying the cost of living is going up, but according to the press that ain't so.

The law gives employees employment rights, it's upto employers to add additional perks to those, so please stop talking shit, as usual.

What employment rights did the P&O ferry workers have that were sacked by text one Sunday night unless they signed new contracts with reduced benefits? it's called fire and rehire so you are talking shit.

The same as every other employed person in the UK. Even if the employer doesn't give you a contract of employment, you are deemed to have at the least the one in law. Same with holiday entitlement, sick pay, Nest pension, minimum wage etc.. Many firms offer extra perks such as higher wages, more holidays, life insurance, company car etc.. to entice better candidates.

Here's the link on P&O -

Doesn't matter if you have the basic contract employment by law, or the best with all the perks, your employer can sack you. They either do it correctly, or like P&O, **** it all up. There are procedures, redundancy payments, lieu of notice etc.. to follow, P&O choose not to do that and were in the shit. That's why there's the Industrial Tribunal process.

Yet again, you are talking shit because you're clueless. I was in management in a large national UK company for 15 years. I left just over 20 years ago, I still keep in touch with the odd colleague. They used to pay over the minimum wage back then by a few quid. Because minimum wage cranked up so much, it basically sets the wage, just the odd employee on slightly more. It's why you're now lucky to see the same face after 6 months.

Unions need banned. £10k extra to train drivers who are on over £60K? You need to shut your mouth and go learn outside of your front door.
