1970’s Bob Hope – “I’ve just flown in from California, where they’ve made homosexuality legal. I thought I’d get out before they make it compulsory.”

2020’s, no joke – ESPN Host Says Tampa Bay Rays Players Who Refused LGBT Clothing Are “Bigoted”

Not only do they groom children they try to groom adults.

Hope never recovered from the Vietnam years, when his hawkish defense of the war, close ties to President Nixon (who actively courted Hope’s help in selling his Vietnam policies to the American people), and the country-club smugness of his gibes about antiwar protesters and long-haired hippies, all made him a political pariah for the peace-and-love generation.

Hope supported the wrong side in Vietnam
He sucked up to the Generals who were advocating expanding the war and calling up more and more troops. He mocked protestors

If Hope had turned against the war, it would have ended sooner

Nixon got us out of the war started by Democrats.

And thus the social credit system is implemented.

We are headed for a bloody war.

C. S. Lewis was also a prophet, and much better at articulating it

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

Hope supported the wrong side? In other words he did not support mass murdering communists.

Hope was always pro-troop. He gave up his Christmas holidays for most of his adult life to entertain our troops. You won't find a soldier, sailer or marine who will say or allow a bad thing being said about Bob Hope. The "protestors" deserved to be mocked. History has shown that they were both witting and unwitting tools of the Soviet GRU that controlled and funded the entire anti-war movement. To this day, I wouldn't pee on one of the anti-war protestors if he or she was on fire right in front of me.

Yes, he was pro-troop while also also cozying up to the Generals and justifying an unjust war

The protestors were more pro-troop in trying to get them out of a senseless war

If Hope had come out against the war, it would have ended sooner

His political views aside, many of us older folks will always remember Mr. Hope's elegant hosting of the Academy Awards.

That's when viewing the Awards was a must for millions of Americans.

Hope supported the troops. We all loved him for his sacrifices, he took our side against the officers and anti-war protestors who hated us. He spent FIFTY YEARS supporting the troops that were defending people like you that scorned us. For fifty years he never spent a Christmas at home with his family, he was always with us.

No question Hope had the best of intentions

But he was a tool for selling the Vietnam War to the public.
Those Hippie protestors that he mocked were more patriotic and did more to save the soldiers

The war wasn't "unjust", we were helping a country resist aggression by one of its neighbors who was totally funded by the USSR and PRC. The USSR through the GRU (Soviet Army Intelligence) was totally funding and controlling the "anti-war" movement. If the protestors had any courage, they would have been protesting the involvement of the Russians and Chinese and the vicious, murderous tactics of the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army Main Force troops who routinely performed atrocities and war crimes in the RVN. But people like you have selective memories about that. The victorious North Vietnamese killed and "reeducated" millions of South Vietnamese civilians after their "victory" after they were betrayed by the Democrats in the US Congress who refused to stand up to the terms of the Treaty of Paris and provide material and air support to the RVN when the PRVN invaded after signing a binding peace treaty and violating it.

So people supporting the US bolstering Ukraine are 'tools' as well? Why not just let Russia smash Ukraine? Is this a war we want to have happen? Like you say Vietnam was?

2 million people were killed to protect Vietnam from Communism

50 years of Vietnam under Communism shows it was not worth the 2 million Vietnamese deaths or the 60,000 Americans who died

Typical of you not to tell the whole story. Technically, Vietnam is still a communist country however, Vietnam has had to adopt capitalist principles to survive. They have instituted free-market reforms (Doi Moi) and is now one of the fastest growing economies. That would not have happened if we abandoned them to the Chi-Coms way back then.

It is more complicated than that.
You are not acknowledging, or unaware, that the communist were mass murdering Vietnamese people in the 1950s.
So who is to say that had France not started the war, abandoned it, leaving America to pick up the pieces or not, that MORE would have continued to get killed by the communist. Look at Cambodia after America left.

If the US had rightfully supported Vietnamese independence after WWII, none of it would have been necessary.

Instead, we supported Frances reclaiming it’s Colonial Empire
