FROM: 2013 (a document was recently leaked to the Charlotte Observer and it showed how Blueprint NC, a ānon-partisanā nonprofit group was gearing up to attack the newly elected Republican Governor and Republican leadership by outlining ideas for how progressive groups should attack Republicans who now control NC state government. Below are their recommendations:
⢠āCrippling their leaders (McCrory, Tillis, Berger etc.).ā

see full doc below
According to the Blueprint NC website:
Blueprint NC and the members of the coalition are strictly prohibited from participating or intervening in any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office. All Blueprint activities will be strictly non-partisan. In addition, Blueprint activities will not be coordinated with any candidate, political party or other partisan entity.
The leaked memo is expressly partisan in nature and considering that it was given to Democratic office holders and candidates, clearly shows ācoordinationā. Beyond that it shows a nihilistic approach to partisan politics which resembles the same approach taken by groups that progressives and liberals claim to despise such as the Koch Brothers funded Tea Party Groups and Art Popeās Civitas.
Blueprint NCās filing with the IRS for 2011 shows that their funding came from nine sources:
Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, Winston-Salem, NC ā $425,000
Mott Philanthropic, Boston, MA ā $175,000
Open Society Institute, New York, NY ā $150,000 (founded by well known Democratic Party money-man George Soros)
Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation, Winston-Salem, NC ā $105,000
Warner Foundation (Michael Warner), Chapel Hill, NC ā $75,000
AJ Fletcher Foundation, Raleigh, NC ā $35,000
TCF/Warner and Craven (Triangle Community Foundation/Michael Warner and Betty Craven), Durham, NC ā $25,000
Taku Fund, (at the Triangle Community Foundation) ā $10,000
Bydale Foundation (New York) ā $7,500
