Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California, all states drowning in a combined debt exceeding $1 trillion due to fiscal recklessness and false promises to government workers they can't afford to pay. These states are also some of the highest taxes states in the country already, so what's the solution?

These American states are drowning in ‘irretrievable’ debt

That's another bubble that I THOUGHT was gonna burst like 10 years ago when the market tanked. Have no idea how they're surviving that far in the hole. It's gotta burst sometime soon. Unless the "Trump economy" prolongs the agony..

What's the solution? Socialism, that's the ticket. Just open up the floodgates to unfettered tax increases.

California already approached the Federal government asking for a bail out during Obama's first term. Mark my words these states are going to claim they are too big to fail and try to force a government bail out.

No need, they will just print money, devalue the currency and steal our money that way. Its not a theory, this backdoor tax has already happened. Go look at how much money the Fed printed during Obama's presidency.

But, but, but, "Ca. has the 6th largest economy in the world." This is what I get from the liberals on this board when I give Ca. a reality check.

I know, it was over 4 trillion dollars, and the libs don't even blink an eye.

The Blue states will raise taxes even more.
When they go bankrupt a Democrat President will bail them out.
I think that we have bailed out NYC and Detroit in the past.
As a matter of survival the middle class taxpayers will move out of the Blue states and into the Red States.

If you look closely at these states, the politicians purchased votes from the public employee unions with sky high salaries, benefits, and pensions with lifetime free healthcare and a bunch of crap the local taxpayers can't afford.

No it gets worse. Other vital infrastructure spending was kicked to the curb, the money used to fund this vote purchasing scheme. Google search some of these large liberal run cities, look at how many times their crumbling sewer systems spilled hundreds of millions of gallons of untreated sewage into public waterways. So nasty they had to close the beaches and ban swimming. Not just the one rare spill, multiple spills over decades.

Portland, OR sewer systems are 100 years old and there have been repeated spills. They do have an umpteen billion dollar light rail system.

That was pure 100% theft. Before Obama the Fed's holdings were about 4% of GDP, after Obama they were 25% of GDP that's where Obama's so called economy came from.
