Blue Bloods

yes she was but the rest of the cast was white, I don't recall any black characters, now they would feature blacks in the story

Erin had a black boss, there was a black mayor, Jamie's wife had a black boss and a black partner, Jamie had one too at point.
why would boston give danny a promotion, he's just another detective and per the show danny never really had a girlfriend after his wife died

You'll have to wait and see how the writers handled it. There is no reason he would never have another girlfriend,
danny has two boys and either look like they would make great cops really

They replaced the son in Blue Bloods with another actor; it will be a different guy in Boston.
not sure I see this spin off as being a hit

They rarely are, but then Wahlberg is a good cop flick actor, and the writers wrote for the Blacklist series, so they're competent. We're going to find out.

Eddie did have an African American partner at one point. She was eventually arrested, but Eddie's last partner was from the Dominican Republic. Officer Luis Badillo was his name. I hated that he was killed in the final episode. Before getting placed with Eddie, his former partner got killed leaving behind a son. Officer Luis continued to check in with that little boy. The little angel was shown attending the funeral for Officer Luis in the final episode. I only wanted to put my arms around him.

God bless you always!!!

You don't go to Boston to get whiter.
I don't know the racial makeup of Boston but I'd say going to bangor maine would be whiter, cheyenne wyoming too

yes blue bloods has some secondary characters over the 12 years that were "colored" but not in the main cast.

I can give it a watch but I just don't see it measuring up to blue bloods which was a very solid show for so long

Unkotare
Because Boston is awesome and NYC sucks?

Why is Boston awesome? personally they are both major left wing cities but Boston does have a great history

I would fit in well there due to my heritage but I've never been there and likely never will

Well, the family was Irish, not Nigerian. Irish have been a big part of the NYC Police, Fire, and govt. for about 250 years now.

Definitely a tough series to follow up on with a spin off. The casting alone would be a real toss up.

his home is NYC, why would he go to boston and leave everybody behind?
so far it looks like blue bloods was just too white so they are adding some color

wasn't there already a cop show that was based in boston already?
/—-/ They changed locations of Suits from NYC to LA for the reboot and it’s a dud. I think the same will happen to Blue Bloods.

What is that series about? I've seen it advertised and it runs on a local station, but it comes on at a time I'm usually busy.

Boston is a better looking town than NYC for the most part, and probably more 'TV friendly' in costs and available local talent.

/—-/ You can watch it streaming.

/—-/ Read all about it. It’s an engaging series.

9 seasons already. I liked Boston Legal when it was on, but it was more of a comedy than a drama. If it's not just a copycat of LA Law I'll watch all 9 seasons.

yep, I started watching suits and I can't get into it at all even with arrow leading the way, no chemistry whatsoever

I'm half Irish/English so I can relate :)
