Bloomberg Declares War on Gun Owners

Even with Kamala Harris slinking away, the Democrat field remains crowded with subpar candidates who have minimal national appeal. Michael Bloomberg needs something other than his massive pot of money to distinguish himself. It looks like he has settled on emphasizing his ferocious hostility toward our fundamental right of self-defense. After all, anti–Second Amendment fanaticism worked so well for failed fellow candidates Beto O’Rourke and Eric Swalwell…

Exploitatively choosing Aurora, Colorado as the site, he revealed his Master Plan on Thursday. It consists of familiar 2A-infringing proposals. Here are a few that are listed at Summit News:

— Reinstate the federal ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
Who knows what someone like Bloomberg means by “assault weapons” or “high-capacity”?

— Require every gun buyer to obtain a permit before making a purchase.
The better to facilitate confiscation in the near future.

— Institute a new age limit of 21 for those wishing to buy handguns, semi-automatic rifles and shotguns.
You could serve in the military for years and still be too young to enjoy the freedom you were allegedly defending.

— Require a mandatory 48-hour waiting period for all gun purchases.

The main point would be to harass gun dealers and their customers, making sales at gun shows particularly difficult.

— Institute a federal “red flag” law to deny permits to “troubled people who pose a danger to themselves or others.”

That could allow faceless bureaucrats to arbitrarily deny Americans a constitutional right without due process.

— Institute a temporary ban on gun possession for those convicted of assault or other violent misdemeanors.

Maybe Bloomberg will expand that to the First Amendment by instituting a “temporary” ban on free speech for anyone heard to use foul language.

— Ban all guns in K-12 schools, colleges, and universities, except for law enforcement.
That would allow future school shooters to run up higher body counts without having to worry about victims shooting back.

— Reverse the law that gives gun makers and gun dealers immunity from lawsuits.

Imagine how few cars would be available if Big Government applied the same principle to the manufacturers of vehicles that are misused by drunk drivers.

— Create the position of White House gun coordinator “to mobilize the public to fight gun violence and launch an inter-agency hub to fight gun violence.”

“Gun violence” in this context is a euphemism for “gun rights.” Rather than preventing crime, the agencies involved would spend public resources enforcing Bloomberg’s unconstitutional decrees.
“My agenda is not some johnny-come-lately list of borrowed ideas,“ Bloomberg claimed…
True enough, Bloomberg has been attempting to his impose his borrowed ideas for years (e.g., here, here, here, here, here). His goal of disarming the American public is time-honored. The British tried it back in the 18th century.

How this guy became so rich is a mystery. Even Joy Behar is bright enough to understand that you don’t tell people in advance you plan to disarm them, or only complete idiots will vote for you — and the commies Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have cornered the complete idiot vote.

Maybe Bloomberg is trying to earn entrance into whatever corner of their nihilistic void constitutes liberals’ conception of heaven. He has asserted that he already qualifies for the other heaven, implying that he will overrule God’s judgment as necessary (as noted here and here).

The cops and military have LOTS of guns. We should disarm them, so their guns can't kill anyone. Guns kill.

Bloomberg is a wanna be dictator.
He does not consider the President of china to be a dictator.
He proposes raising taxes on the middle class to prevent them from spending their money on things that could harm them like big gulps. He says the government can legally take your rights away at times. he never met a tax he did not like and only the military and police have the right to own guns.

Declaring war on the people with the guns sounds like a very bad tactic.

At least it'll be a really short war.

Bloomberg isn't going to be president. Who cares
He ain't got a shot in hell

But he dumps money into activist groups that would like to strip us of our civil rights.

Bloomberg has that Napoleon complex that short people have. He is a midget when he stands next to President Trump.
