How did the mess with Iran get this way? Are memories so short? No one remembers 1953 any more, but, then, that may be too uncomfortable. The situation in Iran is not difficult to understand, just difficult to undo. Too many interests are involved in keeping things in doubt and fear.

It is inevitable, the world is moving to the era of regional alliances where no one country will be able to dominate. Whether the US will get it or will be pushed out of there by another shameful 'Iraqi or Afghan campaigns' is another question.

Maybe the inevitability is WW3 the moment they do get that nuke. Stopping that from happening seems prudent. Besides, it might also be that the inevitability is that we turn Iran to glass the day they get their first nuke.
There are 5 US citizens and their families who might not agree as their freedom was part of the deal.
