The countries that generate a lot of immigrants to the US are also the countries with the highest birth rates. So this theory doesn’t really make sense.

The countries with shrinking populations aren’t sending us many immigrants anyway. We aren’t getting many from Japan or Western Europe, after all

Immigrants to the US tend to adjust their fertility rates to match that of American women. Latinas have the fastest declining birth rates of any demographic in the US.

AI cannot replace many manual labor jobs....no robocops for the foreseeable future.
Same with military.
South Korea is looking at complete societal collapse in 20 years due to the lack of children.

What AI can do is remove administrative bloat that everything from universities, school districts and health care facilities have gained. (As well as political ideologies)

AI can also enhance the tooth to tail ratio in the military as well as assist in identifying targets.

It can remove complications from insurance providers....but they refuse to do so. They have increased the difficulty in getting payouts on an exponential level....but an AI can navigate this effectively.

AI can operate an entire factory making it a blackout factory....no lights needed....however AI cannot repair a single robot or change a fuse.

Jobs are changing and new skills are needed....that's where the money is at....as always

People refuse to procreate when they feel uncertain about their ability to provide for offspring or have serious uncertainties about their ability to navigate the future.
There are worse things than being hungry....and that's watch your child slowly starve.

People no longer have "basic life skills" that once were common for survival in this world that is growing ever more complicated and complex.
Even cooking a decent meal is becoming more difficult than ever before. Especially when products evaporate from the marketplace that they are accustomed to. When you only know "Aunt Jemima pancake mix" as the only one you can have success with but it no longer exists....you are in a panic.
"How can you raise a child when you cant even make pancakes anymore?" Is the question running through your mind. (Quite a real scenario for someone I knew)

"How can i have a child when I'm scared I'm going to be unemployed next month....much less 10 years from now?" Is the most common thought. Workplace instability is the top reason for most delays in having children. Lack of family support is another.
Birth control is another reason. The advent of a string of one night stands being heralded as good has been an absolute failure.

Lack of suitable life partner is another. (Most stable guys refuse to marry or seriously date OnlyFan girls whether they were successful or failures on the site)

Life partners are just that....any hint of radical, or unstable lifestyles and you are out of the dating or marriage world. Nobody wanting children wants to invite instability into their life. Nobody wants to get divorced or breakup with children involved and used as an emotional manipulation tool.

Those are the realities.

Of course they can. Its already happening in fast food joints. Next up delivery drivers, warehouses, and long haul truckers.

That alone isnt going to do it. Health insurance must be fixed big time. Daycare must be addressed so people dont have to pay half their paychecks every month for it. Maternity leave is not nearly long enough. To top that off employers dont like women leaving for awhile to have kids. Paternity leave should also be an
option. Thats just a start.
Then the growing number of young people who dont want to ever get married. Then add to that the trend is now to wait much longer to settle down. Thats on the rise as well. Its a perfect storm.

Rising wages are just the most obvious indicator. You reduce supply you are giving power to the workers. Wages rise, but so do BENEFITS, such as health insurance or "day care".

Bullshit. People today are better off than at any time in our history. WWI, WWII, the Great Depression, etc. was much worse than anything we face today. My parents were brought up in dirt poor conditions, and it didn't stop them from having kids.

It might be the flip side though. People don't want to have kids because it cuts into "me" time.

Id rather have a significant percentage of people not having kids if they dont want that responsibility. Also, waiting until later in life to settle down is not a "bad" idea.

Not yet and not reliable. To have a zero touch fast food stand, including logistics, requires an almost doubling of automation.....or you can have a person(s) who follows or rides with the delivery truck to put away groceries.

And currently I am very uncomfortable with a robot AI responsible for driving a 15 ton weapon on our highways and city streets until the software and firmware gets better.

Also, the touchless food preparation after this is also still "fiddly " meaning it does not produce consistent results as of yet as the maintenance is daily.

Even though they do try to grow perfect tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cucumbers and etc....mother nature is a *****. Inconsistent vegetables are going to be the norm even if they are genetically altered. The barometer changes, wrecks on the roads stall deliveries....all kinds of issues arise in food service.
