Birth Rates

Everyone has different goals. Theres not one path.

That's sort of true, but in reality it is mostly a cop-out.

It is impossible to see the whole of your life, when you are young and have not yet lived being middle aged or old.

You NEED to listen to old people, who have been through the different stages and can tell you of what it is like.

Sure. SOME people, really don't want children and are all about their wonderful careers.

But most people who are childless, will be missing out on one of life's great joys.

I was out with some younger friends of mine just two nights ago. They are engaged and are talking about having children.

They are going to be fine. They are looking to buy a house, even though it is a terrible market, because waiting is not the answer.

People like me, people like them, we will have better lives than your friends with their nice cars and nice doggies and two houses.

Like what?
Like buying three houses while avoiding adult responsibilities and basic human instincts. I love dogs. Some people say "he's my baby!" Guess what? He's not.

I predict that in a few more years, countries will close their borders so their citizens cannot leave due to a reduced population.
The countries that generate a lot of immigrants to the US are also the countries with the highest birth rates. So this theory doesn’t really make sense.

The countries with shrinking populations aren’t sending us many immigrants anyway. We aren’t getting many from Japan or Western Europe, after all

Even the countries that send us immigrants have plummeting birth rates, Africa went from 48.11 in 195 to 30.91 in 2025.

Unsure about this since they both work hard and are earning. After that, its their call.

I have seen some rather convincing presentations on the premise that China's population is not anywhere near the official figures. Three generations of a one-child mandate cannot help but have REDUCED their population rather significantly, coupled with the fact that most Chinese families opt for one MALE child who will take care of his elderly parents as they grow older. How could it NOT be the case that India has by now far surpassed China in population.

I'm not sure what this means for the United States, if anything, but the one-point-four billion number cannot be the actual population.

The elephant in the room is that the low birth rate is accompanied by a sharp decline in the proper raising of those still pumping the bastids out.

So we end up with a population that is 90% thugs and criminals. Look around.

... Three generations of a one-child mandate cannot help but have REDUCED their population rather significantly...

Demographics don't turn on a dime, but they are headed that way and at this point there is no stopping it.

We need to have an economic environment where a single wage earner can support a family.
Currently a double income without children can't support a large family.

If average wages are $85k/yr but average, middle income lifestyles require $144k/yr. There's the problem right there.

If a college education requires $100,000+ in school loan debt....that's going to throw a monkey wrench in the whole works. Especially when High School graduates have serious deficiencies in STEM coursework and need remedial classes in post-secondary school.

We have serious problems with our economy. And we do NOT have a congress that represents the Peoples. Congress CAN fix a lot if these issues. They just won't. Because they are too busy getting re-elected while lining their own pockets.

And the whole nation crumbles around them..

Economics have a direct effect upon birth rates.
Men will not father children or even go out with others during periods of economic stresses and uncertainty.

Can't get married if you don't go out on dates.
There currently are many websites denouncing predatory women using sex and children to trap men. (And it is a fairly common practice....even the rise of OnlyFans demonstrates the truth of this).

As the birth rate continues to drop, will health care prices and food prices go down?

Food prices? I would think so.

Health care has a lot of other factors, such as increasing tech.
