Yet it is Political Chic who repeatedly complains that FDR helped the Soviets in WWII instead of her beloved Adolph Hitler.
She wanted Hitler to control Western Europe and hated that FDR liberated France
she HAD an isolated issue------not so uncommon in the 1950s

This is my position:

What could, should have happened?

Her ”let them fight it out” means we should have allowed Hitler to occupy Western Europe without the fear of US and Britain intervention.
This would have allowed Hitler to concentrate on his Eastern Front without fear of a new allied front.

FDR chose to rescue Western Europe over allowing the Nazis to defeat Stalin like PC wanted.
History showed FDR was correct as the Soviet Union fell on its own 40 years later
there are millions of people who died because of the decision to save Stalin. It is
not entirely clear to me that "PC" wanted Hitler to defeat Stalin. It seems to me that
BOTH adolf and josef S would have FOLDED in time-----maybe sooner
