Bill Maher Discusses Meeting Donald Trump at the White House

As Josh Rogin (one of the panel members on the show) pointed out, the Rapist-in-Chief saw the meeting with Maher as a PR opportunity. He knew Bill would speak about it on his show so he was on his best behavior. I can't help but look at it as deviously manipulative.

Maher would have us believe it's a good thing that trump has a dual personality. He thinks it's comforting to know he can listen, take criticism, and act like an adult.

I would agree if he displayed any of those qualities in his capacity as prez. He doesn't. As prez he's a boorish liar whose natural impulse is to bully, act impulsively, ignore opposing opinions, eschew facts, and most of all use revenge as his organizing principle for governing.

I applaud Maher for his willingness to communicate with the other side, to be critical of the Left, and for not being dogmatic. He's an out of the box thinking liberal and for that he has my respect. I do not doubt what he said about his experience with the Orange Menace is accurate. But IMO it's meaningless unless it translates to trump's actions as the head of state. Because that's what matters.

1. Trump should have had a better plan for implementing or phasing-in the tariffs.
2. Trump is in office 90-days, he did not create the bond crisis, $37T in debt did that

5, Trump's felonies are bullshit and will be overturned on appeal

I can't help wondering what the figures would look like if the approx. 35% of the country comprising hard core trump devotees, who will never question the efficacy of their devotion, were open to examining the world outside the RWM bubble controlling their opinions. Those who never consider trans people are not a threat to western civilization, COVID spending by the government to keep the economy afloat slightly contributed to but was not the proximate cause of inflation, US elections have not been corrupted, there is no invasion at the southern border, and the denial of due process for illegal aliens is a display of weakness.........not strength.

The 2020 total votes proves fraud, being more than the 2024 vote totals.
