Not a single mention in that USToday piece about WHAT actions need to be rebuffed... There's a link to a WHINE that the WH rebuffed CDC bid to "lead contact tracing" efforts. There's certainly agencies that could come up tools quicker..

The CDC FAILED MISERABLY following national strategic plan to be SOLE developer of pandemic test kits.. They SLOWED the response by releasing a thoroughly FAULTY test kit by weeks. That's when the "pandemic playbook" got tossed out yonder window and Trump enlisted the private sector to handle that critical item...

This was NOT a failure of Trump Admin.. It was the failure of BUREAUCRATS in making a couple buildings of scientists the roadblock to getting quick release of reliable test kits. The Federal govt is NOT the penultimate repository of science or technology.. We have a million MORE researchers that should be recruited to help in a crisis...
