I am not bothered about selling these people --- the accuracy of their forecasts either does that , or, fails to .

What i do see as a threat would be the 'powers that be' that spend all their time and effort keeping humanity under it's control

Clif has covered that very point ,though whether it comes from his own thinking or from his data sets , I cannot remember without checking .
But direct contact will not be made with Governments or spokespersons/ minions.

I think that this partly results from the US cheating on agreements made in the fifties when Eisenhower was in charge .

I tend to the same view.
What is there now that makes it a good and special time for pro- active co-operation?
Nothing that I can see.

However , the argument might be that they need to be ready for intervention because collectively we seem to be so close to possible tragedy -- some idiot(s) provoking a nuclear war .
Clif contends that just the very presence of nuclear plants is a terrible nuisance to them -- the effects of radiation produce a scalar effect which interrupts their communication channels / operating frequencies .
Any major nuclear war would interrupt them badly --- "them" being all the members of the Trading Federation , etc etc
I do not understand this "scalar" effect but pure science has never been a strong point of mine .

I wish they would hurry up and move on to the next stage of Contact .I am going to wreck my neck by walking around gazing up into the heavens .
