The context here is "sacrifice" as in trading one thing for another.
In this case, trading his political future in favor of continued support for Israel.
Mind you, Old Joe may not HAVE much of a political future, so... he isn't sacrificing much.

Israel has squandered the world's sympathy over the October 7th assault on their innocents, by murdering 5 times as many Palestinians in retaliation. Biden appears to be the ONLY thing preventing them from does worse.
As a child, I cheered for the success of the Israeli nation, because of the Holocaust,
Israel has lost the world's sympathy by bombing hospitals, and housing projects. They killed 700 Palestinians, hundreds of them children, to kill one Hamas leader.
Trump is also supporting Israel in this so I don't see how there's any difference between the two. Trump inflamed Palestinians, resulting in dozens of deaths, moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

It has merely had the (relative) goodwill of a number of Western countries out of a prolonged sense of Guilty Sympathy...
Israel is now in a formally declared state of War...
It is tasked with defeating an enemy that hides is weaponry and fighters amongst a civilian population...
To get at the weaponry and fighters it is necessary to target them where they are located...
Sometimes that means civilian facilities and living quarters...
In World War II...
The United States, Great Britain, Russia, etc., all targeted military assets embedded within civilian population centers...
Routinely and on a massive scale...
Nobody stopped any of THEM from hitting Nazi or Japanese targets even when embedded within population centers...
The only differences between now and then are (1) the Winning Side are Jews and (2) cheap video and internet to record it...
Israel must continue down this path for the time being...
They need to slaughter the pigs of Hamas and their enablers and supporters in order to defend their own people...
They gave Palestinians WEEKS worth of advance warning to get-the-hell-out-of-Dodge...
Those who failed to go must now take their chances...

Sounds like you're making up excuses for Israel killiing Palestinian children.
It's now been more than 70 years. Killing Palestianians civilians every time they attack Jewish people isn't working. All the Israelis are doing is giving another generation of Palestinians good and valid reasons to seek retaliation and on and on it goes.

Nope. Merely acknowledging the Reality that War is an ugly business, and that civilians die in War.
Especially when the enemy hides behind the burqa-skirts of women - and children - like the chicken-$hits they are.
