The truth of the matter is that McCain should have done the right thing and resigned from the Senate, like Bob Dole did a dozen years before. Vice President Biden should just shelter in place right now, like any other citizen. He has several months off now before the convention, and he does need a little bit of sleep.The speech at the convention and the debates after are going to take a lot of energy.

Biden wants to be leader of the free world. And, his response to this crisis is to hide away from the public. He could be a big help to bridge the political divide and help get important work done. But, it seems to me he is not up for the moment. His time has honestly past. I suspect the DNC will ditch him soon. They have no choice.
