Danish wind developer Orsted is halting the development of two massive New Jersey offshore wind projects due to cascading economic pressures, including skyrocketing interest rates and a supply chain crunch.

“Macroeconomic factors have changed dramatically over a short period of time, with high inflation, rising interest rates, and supply chain bottlenecks impacting our long-term capital investments,” Hardy said in a statement.

Macroeconomic factors? Is that anything like Bidenomics?

Thanks for that awesome example of how Faux tailors their reporting to get small minded simps to clap like trained seals over exaggerated nothingburgers.

Just twelve months after the law was signed, it is already having a significant impact on American workers and families, and is delivering for underserved communities and those that have been too often left behind. Outside groups estimate the Inflation Reduction Act’s clean energy and climate provisions have created more than 170,000 clean energy jobs already, companies have announced over $110 billion in clean energy manufacturing investments in the last year alone, the law is delivering billions of dollars to protect communities from the impacts of climate change, and millions of seniors are saving money because their insulin is capped at $35 per month.

No kidding, the White House saying all is great vs a Company pulling the plug on development....who ya gonna believe...dumbass.

We are talking about Sleepy Joe's New Green Deal, not his failed Inflation Reduction efforts which also are collapsing the economy.

Imagine that, government praising government.

Then there's the EV pull-back by the auto-makers.

I believe that the reason is that they know the .gov subsidies are going to dry up and don't want to be left without a chair when the music money stops.

Always gonna be setbacks, but the effort to get us off the oil standard will continue. $90 a barrel?

Not much different from Musk's low-IQ macroeconomics.

But EV microeconomics does not, or at least should not, care. It's rolling along nicely without the auto-makers.

Can you imagine being as stupid as berg80 ? I don't know how these dangerously stupid cretins evade natural selection, even with the safety standards we have.

If you believe human beings, who produce just 3% off ALL ATMOSPHERIC CO2, which is the "greenhouse gas" that contributes just 3% of all the thermal insulation of heat, would make even the slightest measurable difference on the climate if we wanted too and collectively attempted too, you're a jabbering invalid.

If you believe ANYTHING the WH communicates, you're beyond medical science's capacity to calculate how stupid you are. God Himself has to consult Budda to get an asian's math skills involved when figuring it out.

Says the small minded simp who quotes from a White House propaganda piece to tell us how great the Biden administration is.
Pathetic even for you.

The company plans to hold onto its seabed lease so maybe they will try again at some point once the economics get sorted.

There is a lot of crap in green energy that has to be sorted still. I have even heard folks on NPR complaining about on the solar side companies are here today and gone tomorrow and that is problematic for consumers from getting warranties honored to finding repairman/replacement parts because there is pretty much nothing standard in the industry.
