They're banking on looking like boring but adequate adults compared to the Trump dumpster-fire administration.

China kicked Trump's ass in a trade war and continues to expand their military in the pacific. Their global position continues to strengthen, while ours continues to weaken under the incompetent trump. The only thing China fears from trump is that he might not get re elected.

I don't know, Taz...this whole "You ain't black!" thing that Biden just stepped in might make it impossible for him to pick anyone OTHER than a person of color! He's already taking heat from members of the black community. Going with Klobuchar at this point might be the final straw and turn off a lot of blacks that might have supported him if he had a black on the ticket! Will they show up to vote for an old white guy who says like Archie Bunker from time to time? I'd be scared to death if I was running Joe's campaign!

Given that we have four ex-presidents who lived into their 90's, there's no reason to think Biden won't live through his first and maybe even a second term.

Jerry Ford- Lived to be 93
Jimmy Carter- Still around at 95
Ronald Reagan- Lived to be 93
George H. Bush - lived to be 94

No reason to think that given the health care available to him, Biden couldn't live into his 90's, especially since he lives a largely healthy lifestyle.

Now, for picking Amy, probably a good choice. She's likable, she shores him up in the Midwest.

At the end of the day, Vice Presidential choices are kind of meaningless. Bush-41 picked Dan Quayle, and he STILL won.

And compared to Trump, Dan Quayle actually looks smart today.

I like her and think she would make a good vp. However, history tells us that the most successful pairing of candidate are those where each candidate brings to table what the other lacks. Klobuchar, other than being a woman and younger doesn't bring anything new to the table; that is she is not likely to bring in voters that aren't already going to vote for Biden. Warren on the other hand will certainly appeal to younger and more progressive voters, an area that Biden needs help.
