I've said before, Trump will do anything to make a deal. Pressuring Israel to accept what they previously would not seems to be the Trump way.

So, Attention all of you People who leap to judgments very quickly. Looks like it was Israel that Got Pressured, Not Hamas. Just so Trump could brag. Biden went along on the way out, as Biden's team had been pressuring Israel forever.

What we actually know so far...

The New York Times, citing a person familiar with the negotiations, reported that Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, helped put pressure on Netanyahu earlier in the week, which may have urged the Israeli premier to approve the compromises necessary to end the war. A diplomat briefed on the ceasefire negotiations seemed to second that interpretation, telling The Washington Post that Trump’s team placed “real pressure” on Israeli negotiators to take yes for an answer.

Here we are:
Trump wants a deal so badly, any deal he can make will be shit compared to what could've been made...

...and can people trust, fully trust a convicted felon?

Um, yes, to a degree, Trump didn't want this mess on his plate coming in.

The problem is the only person who wants to prolong the war at this point is Bibi. Most Israelis are sickened by it. The Palestinians are sick of it. So is most of the world.

But Bibi knows that once the shooting starts, people are going to start asking embarrassing questions like, "How did you let this happen to start with?"

In other words they respect and trust Trump and not Biden.

Must be tough for you to deal with.

Not true. The majority of Israelis want the war to end only after all the hostages have been released and there is now a group of hostage families that are campaigning against this ceasefire.

A ceasefire does not end the war, it simply reschedules the hostilities. The only way to end the war is for the Palestinians to release all the hostages, including those who have been tortured and murdered, and disarm.

Why did the new head of Hamas say they won the war and laud 10/7? No mercy. Kill em all.

The Rabid Israel Settlers and Kahanees went after Rabin. Netanyau should watch out. Trump could only pressure his pal Nettie. Deals with Trump are all about him looking good. No wonder he came right out of the gate claiming his last minute entry won the day.

Trump did Biden and Blinken a favor in order to get a deal. It's transactional -- as long as Trump can brag and talk shit.

Here's a better question. Why do the Zionists WANT to live next to people who want to murder them?

That would be... kind of stupid.

If someone disliked me so much they were strapping bombs onto their kids trying to kill me, I wouldn't spend decades trying to bomb them into compliance.

I'd just move somewhere safer.

That’s cause you’re a wimp and a loser. I prefer conquest. Bombs away.

In other words, you have no idea what kind of pressure Trump might have exerted over Netanyahu.

Trump has been adamant that he, unlike Biden/Blinken, will supply Israel with all the weapons it needs to win its wars, so that cannot be the threat.

Trump has said he will lift Biden's sanctions on the Israelis living in the West Bank, so that cannot be the threat.

Most likely there was no threat at all, but a deal, perhaps that Trump would offer extraordinary support for Israel once Israel agree to a ceasefire long enough to have the two American hostages released.

So you are arguing it's okay to make agreements that you have no intention of keeping. That's par for the course for Trump.

Yet only one of us has a DD214.

Not sure how a "conquest" against poor people makes you great.

It actually sounds like what the Nazis did to you.
Don’t pick a fight you can’t win. They have enough money for rockets to seems. Stop touting your service: you’re a disgrace

:auiqs.jpg:Tell that to Dopey Donald. That guy thought an "accord" between nations and people not at war with each other was an actual peace deal.:laughing0301:
It was an extraordinary peace deal. Since the beginning of Islamic civilization, Jews had been regarded as second class citizens, subjected to persecutions and humiliations codified in Sharia Law and every Muslim child born since has been raised to believe it is a core value of Islam, so for a Muslim country to normalize relations with Israel is an enormous accomplishment and holds out hope peace in the ME is possible.
