The WH and State went with overestimates of the Afghans holding out, and Biden wasn't letting the military put troops back in.

I know this is a uuuuuge story for you. But Biden got us out, and now Marines or GIs are dying for Afghanies who don't appear willing to kick the Taibans' asses for themselves. No news here.
