In addition to this Biden statement being pathetic, it's terrible politics: A recent poll shows 2/3rds of voters who disapprove of Biden say they believe that "if a President really tried, he could get a lot more done."

Like it or not, there's only so far an EO can go. It isn't legislation. Isn't that what the right wing constantly cries about?...but didn't mind when the last guy did it? :)

Much of gun violence involves the money in the drug trade. The addicts provide most of the money. Lock up the addicts and the money will dry up, the drug trade will collapse, and the shootings will decline.

I didn’t mind when Obama used the EO.
I didn’t mind when Trump used the EO.
The job of Congress is to keep Wall Street in control of Congress.

Yeah the EO just get overturned when the next president of a different party comes to power. It's useless for the long term.

Do some research on why people do, or don't do, the things they do or don't do. You will be shocked. :omg:

Wrong.
There is absolutely no legal basis for the War on Drugs, and drugs are just the poor man's skydiving, suba diving, and jet ski.
The correct and legal thing to do is end the war on drug, those addicted will be able to get medical help, and the problem will essentially go away.
The basis for legal authority comes from the defense of the rights of others.
Since using drugs harms no one else, there is no legal authority for a war on drugs.
It is the government that has then become the criminals.

Everyone has thought of and tried that before, and it not only does not work, but violates the whole principle of law.
The War on Drugs is almost identical to Prohibition, with the same lack of legal basis, and with the same result of increasing murders by a factor of 10.

Making something illegal entices from the higher profits.
That means lots of unprotected cash, since no one wants a record of transactions and you can't call the police if robbed.

lol

Told ya

Biden knows, he knows what happens to people who touch the third rail

He was there, when Hillary tried it. He saw it all first hand. It made her the most hated woman in America, and lost the Dems the election and the House.

Taking people away is the worst criminal harm you can ever do to anyone.
Taking away money, drugs, etc., is much less harmful.

Hillary was not just guilty of pushing illegal gun control, but also the bloody "Arab Spring" fiasco that was really a code word for mass murder in the Mideast by the US military.

Regardless. It's the only solution.

We will only 'take them away' for a month the first time. They'll be warm, cozy, and well fed.
