However, once you have 70%+ of the population vaccinated, HERD IMMUNITY kicks in.

THis isn't even a difficult concept... it's what immunizing school children works on....They know if everyone is immunized against Polio or Measles, the one person where the vaccine doesn't work is in less danger.
